چکیده
Solanum nigrum L. has been traditionally used as traditional Chinese medicine and food all over the world. Phytochemical investigations of immature fruits S. have carried out five coumarins (1-5) phenolic compounds (6-11) were obtained. Their structures elucidated on basis spectroscopic chemical methods, including IR, MS, 1H 13C-NMR. They identifies 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin (1), 6-methoxy-7-hydroxycoumarin (2), 6,8-dimethoxycoumarin (3), (4), umbelliferone (5), vanillin (6), vanillic acid (7), syringic aldehyde (8), isovanillic (9), ethyl 3,4-dihydroxybenzoate (10), 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetate (11).

Antimicrobial activity of fruits of Solanum nigrum and Solanum xanthocarpum.
Current study was conducted to investigate antimicrobial activity of fruit extracts of two Solanaceous plants (Solanum nigrum and Solanum xanthocarpum) found in Pakistan. Petroleum ether, chloroform, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, acetone, methanol and water were utilized for extraction. The highest percentages of polar components of both the species were extracted by water; little amount of n...
متن کاملStudies on phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activities of leaves, fruits and stems of Solanum nigrum L
Medicinal plants are being used as traditional medicines to cure several infectious and non-infectious diseases because of their products are safe in contrast to the synthetic medicines that are considered as unsafe to human including other animals and environment. We selected Solanum nigrum L. (Makoi) which belongs to family Solanaceae to evaluate antimicrobial activities against six pathogeni...
متن کاملCharacterisation of phenolic compounds in wild fruits from Northeastern Portugal.
This study aimed to analyse the phenolic composition of wild fruits of Arbutus unedo (strawberry-tree), Prunus spinosa (blackthorn), Rosa canina and Rosa micrantha (wild roses). Analyses were performed by HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS. P spinosa fruits presented the highest concentration in phenolic acids (29.78 mg/100 g dry weight), being 3-O-caffeoylquinic acid the most abundant one, and flavone/ols (57.48...
متن کاملA new spirostanol glycoside from fruits of Solanum indicum L.
A new characteristic steroidal glycoside of the 23S,26R-hydroxylated spirostanol-type named indioside F was isolated from the fruit of Solanum indicum, along with indioside A and protodioscin. On the basis of spectroscopic analysis, the structure of indioside F was found to be 3-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (beta-chacotriosyl) (22R,23...

Various in vitro grown tissues (non-regenerative callus, regenerative callus and microshoot derived leaves) of Solanum nigrum L. were cultured under salinity stress (0-150 mM NaCl) for enhanced production of solasodine, a steroidal alkaloid and an alternative to diosgenin, which is used as a precursor for the commercial production of steroidal drugs. The role of plant growth regulators and vari...
